Matt Shaver fainted on the field, while playing a game with Marshalltown and was taken out of the field to nearby hospital, where the Doctors kept him in ICU.
Family and friends have been gatheringTuesday at the hospital and at a prayer service for Matt Shaver, 18. About 30 people were at the prayer service on Tuesday morning.
Witnesses said the Matt was out the game
being treated for an ankle issue when it
happened. He was given CPR at the scene
until rescue crews arrived.
Family reported on Facebook that "We would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It's going to be another day and a half before we will know anything else. Only family for the next few days. His vitals are stable and he is in a critical care unit."
